(January 25, 2024) - Foley & Lardner LLP has hired attorney David Makso as a partner in its taxation practice group.
Makso, who previously worked for 15 years at Paul Hastings LLP, joins Foley's New York office, the firm said in a Jan. 22 statement.
Before joining Paul Hastings, Makso was an associate at King & Spalding LLP for two years.
Makso, who is fluent in English, Spanish and Arabic, has advised domestic and international clients, particularly in Latin America, on capital markets, mergers and acquisitions, project finance, and general inbound and outbound tax structuring.
His "deep capabilities and knowledge in guiding clients through a wide range of tax matters will be an asset for our clients across practices," said Timothy L. Voigtman, chair of Foley's taxation practice group.
