Aviation

Aircraft lessor Voyager Aviation Holdings LLC and 19 affiliates filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy July 27 in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York. The Stamford, Connecticut-based business, which touts itself as a privately owned aviation investor and full-service global aircraft leasing platform, plans to sell its assets to Azorra Explorer Holdings Ltd., according to its bankruptcy filings.

Real estate development

Real estate developer Strudel Holdings LLC and an affiliate filed for Chapter 11 protection July 27 in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Texas. The Houston-based business, which owns Aspen Valley Ranch, a residential development near Aspen, Colorado, valued by the business in 2020 at $220 million, faced a foreclosure auction of the property July 25, according to the Aspen Daily News. The firm plans to liquidate the real property through a sale process with a stalking horse bidder, according to its filings.

Energy

Energy firm Polaris Operating LLC and three affiliates filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy July 28 in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Texas. The debtors operate privately held independent oil and gas companies focused on acquiring, optimizing, and developing conventional oil and gas properties, with most of their operations focused in the Texas Panhandle, according to their filings.

Jewelry

CPI Luxury Group, which operates under the name China Pearl, filed a Chapter 11 petition July 30 in U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Central District of California. The Los Angeles-based business, which supplies high-quality pearls to clients including Macy's, Bloomingdales and Kohl's, says the goal of its filing is to either complete a sale of its assets or reorganize.

Aerospace

AeroCision LLC and two affiliates filed for Chapter 11 protection July 31 in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware. The Chester, Connecticut-based business is a leading supplier of complex engine components and assemblies for the global aerospace industry, according to its website.
The debtors, part of an organization known as Bromford Group, seek to have the court's confirmation by Sept. 6 of a prepackaged plan providing for a comprehensive restructuring of their secured debt obligations, according to David Nolletti of Riveron Management Services LLC, the debtors' chief restructuring officer.
