(February 13, 2024) - Husch Blackwell LLP has appointed Michael G. Silver as a partner to its financial services and capital markets industry group.
Silver joins Husch Blackwell's Washington, D.C., office after more than 12 years with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, the firm said in a recent statement. He served as a senior counsel at the CFPB, where he supervised regulatory guidance teams and handled industry inquiries.
Silver also worked as a senior associate at Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP.
Marci V. Kawski, leader of Husch Blackwell's consumer financial services practice group, said Silver "has been at the CFPB since just weeks after the agency opened its doors, and his insider experience spanning multiple administrations will be extremely beneficial to our clients."
